Maine Baptists for Biblical Values is a Christ-centered and Biblically-based effort to impact our state for Jesus Christ. Our goal is to connect the people of God to the people of government.

We look to scriptures like 1 Timothy 2:1-4, which says, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

As born-again Bible believers, we are commanded to pray, encourage, and help guide our government leaders. Some may say that the church has no business in civics, but throughout the Bible, we read about people like Daniel, Esther, and the Apostle Paul, who made a significant impact for Christ on the governments of their day.
